Bill Andriopoulos, PhD currently serves as Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs for Galderma US, a role he has held since June 2021. He leads the strategic and operational direction of medical affairs across Galderma’s prescription dermatology, aesthetics, and consumer business units. Together with his team, Bill leverages cutting-edge science to support cross-functional initiatives, driving meaningful impact for patients, consumers, and healthcare professionals. Science-based innovation remains a key differentiator at Galderma, and Bill is proud to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the field. With over eight years at Galderma, Bill has held progressive leadership roles across geographies. Prior to his current position, he served as Global Head of Medical Affairs for Aesthetics, based in Sweden, where he led global strategy and directed the GAIN medical education programs. Before that, he held various medical affairs roles at Galderma Canada for more than two years. Earlier in his career, Bill worked in rare disease, aesthetics, and neurology across both medical affairs and commercial functions in Canada and the United States. Bill earned his PhD in Experimental Medicine and BSc in Physiology from McGill University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was first author on a Nature publication and received the 2008 HMS-MGH Award for Medical Excellence in Research. He has published extensively in the fields of aesthetics—including biostimulators, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and safety—as well as in iron metabolism.
