Dr. Birchall is a board-certified physician with more than 30 years of medical experience and more than 15 years working with cosmetic treatments.
About Dr. Birchall
Dr. Birchall earned his medical degree from the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Calgary’s Foothill Hospital. Unlike other medical aesthetic clinics, Dr. Birchall not only operates as Dermacare’s medical director, but he also actively treats patients in all three of Dermacare’s clinics in San Diego and Orange County.
Dr. Birchall says he feels lucky to have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with his patients, and his favorite part of coming to work every day is seeing his patients smile when they look in the mirror for the first time after they receive a treatment.
Dr. Birchall is a member of the American Society of Cosmetic Physicians, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the Allergan Advisory Board. He has achieved Black Diamond status for administering BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM® injections, being recognized among the top quarter of the Top 1% of more than 60,000 providers in the country. Additionally, Dr. Birchall has also been recognized as a Black Diamond provider for Fraxel® laser skin rejuvenation, a Top 25 Colorescience® Partner, a Top 100 provider for Sculptra® Aesthetic, and a Premier Partner for CoolSculpting. He is constantly researching and utilizing the industry’s latest technology to achieve the best possible results and treatment outcomes.
When Dr. Birchall is not actively treating patients, you can find him spending time with his family, working on mastering his gardening talent, and of course, as a native Canadian, playing hockey.
